My Philosophy on Practicing Astrology:

When you take yourself to be a somebody, you get to play that character and experience the entire realm of destiny associated with that character. By all means, live it up and play the role well. Vedic astrology is a tool for living well, and a reading can help you achieve this end.

But the gift of human existence allows for so much more than that. The sages and mystics of all religions tell us it is possible to become aware of our true nature, our true identity beyond the separate and limited identity of this person we take ourselves to be. In the yogic tradition, this is called Self-Realization.

To this end, vedic astrology is a tool for this kind of Self knowledge.

We are told it is possible to stop identifying with our limitations, and come to a truer understanding of the nature of our own eternity. When this occurs, Fate is witnessed as a ceaseless series of changes, an unbreaking flow of energy, and nothing more.

And we are told it is possible to experience our Oneness with all things. When this simple, clear realization arises that what exists in you exists in everyone, indeed that you are not separate from any living being, free will becomes what Love would do for Love.
